REGISTRATION:
All bands wishing to register for the 1st Annual Bean Days Battle of the Bands contest must read and accept the following rules
and regulations before completing the registration form.
There is a $50 registration fee. Checks must be made payable to the Montpelier Area Chamber of Commerce. Submit entry fee AND official entry form to (Location)
REGISTRATION IS DUE NO LATER THAN JULY 21, 2009.
GENERAL RULES
All band members must be 21 years of age or older.
On the day of the performance, band members must be dressed in clothing free from obscenities, drugs, alcohol, sex or any
other subject matter not suitable for a family audience.
Band name and lyrics of performance songs must not contain any obscenities.
The band performance will last no longer than 15 minutes. Any band exceeding the time limit will be disqualified.
Time of event is 5:00pm til 11:00pm
EQUIPMENT AND ONSTAGE RULES:
The City of Montpelier will provide a sound and lighting system, which all the bands will use.
All bands must follow instructions given by the the appointed stage manager.

If you have your own microphones please bring them.
The playing order of the bands will be determined by a draw on the day of the concert.
Bands must arrive at least one hour before their allotted time. Any band that misses their allotted onstage time will be disqualified.
JUDGING & MISCELLANEOUS:
The Battle of the Bands will be judged by 3 to 4 judges.
There will be prizes given out the night of the Battle of the Bands for 1st and 2nd place. 1st place will receive $500 cash and a paid gig at the Montpelier Eagles (value $500) (total 1st prize valued at $1000), 2nd place will receive a paid gig at the Quarterline in Montpelier, OH (value $300) and 3rd place will receive a paid gig at either The bar or the Southend Steakhouse in Montpelier, OH (value $300). Gigs must be scheduled no later than December 31st, 2010.
Any bands winning the 1st Annual Bean Days Battle of the Bands, must agree to provide a maximum 4 hours of live music to either the Montpelier Eagles or the Quarterline, respectively. Any band unable to provide the allotted amount of time will forfeit the gig.
